Flood Warning issued April 3 at 2:51PM EDT until April 3 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS Charleston WV

* WHAT…Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall
continues.

* WHERE…Portions of northeast Kentucky, including the following
county, Lawrence and West Virginia, including the following
counties, Cabell, Lincoln, Putnam and Wayne.

* WHEN…Until 800 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS…Flooding of creeks, streams, and other low-lying and
flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 249 PM EDT, Several creeks have been reported out of their
banks and flooding adjacent roads, particularly in Lincoln
and Wayne Counties. In addition, strong rises are occurring
on the Mud River with minor flood stage surpassed in
Griffithsville. Blaine Creek has also eclipsed minor flood
stage. Moderate to occasionally heavy rain will move back
into the area later this afternoon and early evening. This
may prolong and exacerbate the flooding through the evening
hours.
– Additional rainfall amounts of 1 inch is possible into the
evening hours.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Madison, Louisa, Wayne, Hamlin, Blaine, Hamlin,
Griffithsville, Ranger, Kiahsville, and Harts.
