Mississippi…

Big Black River At West affecting Holmes and Attala Counties.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Big Black River at West.

* WHEN…Until further notice. It will then rise to 18.0 feet
Thursday, April 10. Additional rises are possible thereafter.

* IMPACTS…At 17 feet, Several thousand acres of agricultural and
lowland become inundated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 7:45 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 11.9 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 18.0
feet Thursday, April 10.
– Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
