…The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois…

Embarras River at Lawrenceville affecting Lawrence County.

Embarras River at Ste. Marie affecting Crawford and Jasper
Counties.

.Rainfall of 3 to 5 inches has occurred since Friday morning over
lower portions of the Embarras River basin, with 4.55 inches
measured at Lawrenceville. As a result, moderate flooding is
expected from Ste. Marie downstream.

The following forecasts are based on observed precipitation, soil
moisture conditions, and forecast precipitation.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE…Embarras River at Ste. Marie.

* WHEN…Until early Wednesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…At 21.0 feet, water overtops a few private levees in the
Ste. Marie area.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 9:45 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 19.4 feet.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:45 AM CDT Saturday was 19.4 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 21.6
feet early Monday morning. It will then fall below flood
stage early Wednesday morning.
– Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
