Meteorological Summary:
- High pressure will continue to promote one more day of mostly dry and warm conditions across the Sunshine (near 0-15% chance of rain).
- Increased moisture along the Eastern Peninsula may allow for some isolated showers, especially during the peak heating hours of the day as sea breezes develop.
- An isolated shower and thunderstorm or two cannot be ruled out along the Western Panhandle overnight as the next cold front begins to approach from the west.
- High temperatures in the middle 80s to middle 90s statewide; heat indices approaching or reaching the 90sacross much of the state.
- Breezy southeasterly to southerly winds near 10-15 mph with gusts near 15-30 mph.
- Locally sensitive wildfire conditionsmay be possible this afternoon and evening along portions of the Peninsula.
- High risk for rip currents persists along the East Coast and Florida Panhandle; moderate riskalong the West Coast.
- Poor to hazardous beach and boating conditions along the East Coast, Keys, and Panhandle due to ongoing breezy winds and elevated wave heights.
- Low temperatures in the middle 60s to middle 70s nearly statewide with middle to upper 70s along the Southeast Coast and Keys.
- Areas of patchy to locally dense fogpossible across portions of North and Central Florida overnight into Sunday morning.
