Flood Warning issued April 6 at 11:11AM CDT until April 7 at 12:00AM CDT by NWS Lincoln IL

* WHAT…Flooding caused by recent excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE…Portions of east central and southeast Illinois, including
the following counties, in east central Illinois, Clark and
Cumberland. In southeast Illinois, Clay, Crawford, Effingham,
Jasper, Lawrence and Richland.

* WHEN…Until midnight CDT tonight.

* IMPACTS…Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 1108 AM CDT, areas of flooding continue due to the heavy
rain that occurred late last week. Between 3 and 6 inches of
rain fell over the region.
– While additional showers are expected through the afternoon,
rainfall amounts will not be enough to cause additional
flooding.
– Much of the lingering flooding is in low spots and near
creeks in hilly terrain, where water is slow to drain.
