…The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Illinois…

Embarras River at Ste. Marie affecting Jasper and Crawford
Counties.

Embarras River at Lawrenceville affecting Lawrence County.

.The lower portion of the Embarras River will be cresting near
Sainte Marie by late tonight, but will continue rising near
Lawrenceville for a couple more days.

The following forecasts are based on observed precipitation, soil
moisture conditions, and forecast precipitation.

* WHAT…Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE…Embarras River at Ste. Marie.

* WHEN…Until Wednesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…At 21.0 feet, water overtops a few private levees in the
Ste. Marie area.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 10:45 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 22.4 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 22.6
feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
flood stage late Wednesday morning.
– Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
