Day 3 Convective Outlook NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 0210 AM CDT Sun Apr 06 2025 Valid 081200Z - 091200Z ...THERE IS A MARGINAL RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS PARTS OF SOUTH FLORIDA... ...SUMMARY... Marginally severe wind gusts will be possible on Tuesday along and ahead of the front across parts of south Florida. ...South Florida... A mid-level trough will move into the Northeast on Tuesday, as a cold front advances southward across the southern Florida Peninsula. Ahead of the front, surface dewpoints near 70 F will contribute to the development of moderate instability across parts of south Florida. Scattered thunderstorms are expected to form near and ahead the front during the morning, with storms moving southeastward across the southern Florida Peninsula. Forecast soundings in south Florida during the mid to late morning have 0-6 km shear near 30 knots along with steep low-level lapse rates. This could be enough for marginally severe gusts with the stronger cells. Any severe threat that develops should end during the afternoon as the front moves southward over the water. ..Broyles.. 04/06/2025
