…The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Missouri…Illinois…Kentucky…

Mississippi River at Thebes affecting Scott and Alexander
Counties.

Mississippi River at Cape Girardeau affecting Perry, Union, Cape
Girardeau, Alexander, Jackson and Scott Counties.

Mississippi River at New Madrid affecting New Madrid, Mississippi
and Fulton Counties.

Mississippi River near Hickman affecting Fulton County.

..Very heavy rainfall ranging from 6 to 12 inches fell across the
Mississippi River basin over the past week. This will keep river
levels elevated for the next week and beyond. Minor flooding is
occurring at Cape Girardeau and Thebes, while major flooding is
forecast at Hickman, and moderate flooding at New Madrid.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Mississippi River at Thebes.

* WHEN…Until late Saturday evening.

* IMPACTS…At 34.0 feet, The town of Thebes begins to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 11:30 AM CDT Monday the stage was 33.7 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 35.0
feet Wednesday evening. It will then fall below flood stage
Saturday afternoon.
