Flood Warning issued April 7 at 11:44AM CDT by NWS Paducah KY

…The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Kentucky…Illinois…Missouri…

Ohio River at Smithland Dam affecting Livingston and Pope
Counties.

Ohio River at Paducah affecting Massac, Livingston, Pope and
McCracken Counties.

Ohio River at Cairo affecting Mississippi, Carlisle, Ballard,
Alexander, Hickman, Fulton and Pulaski Counties.

Ohio River at Olmsted Lock and Dam affecting Ballard and Pulaski
Counties.

.Very heavy rainfall ranging from 6 to 15 inches fell across the
Ohio River basin over the past week. This will keep river levels
elevated over the next week and beyond. Moderate to major flooding
is forecast from Smithland down to Cairo.

* WHAT…Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE…Ohio River at Paducah.

* WHEN…Until further notice.

* IMPACTS…At 49.5 feet, The first gate is closed in the floodwall
in Paducah.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 11:00 AM CDT Monday the stage was 45.4 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 46.8
feet tomorrow evening. It will then rise to 49.5 feet
Wednesday, April 16. Additional rises are possible
thereafter.
– Flood stage is 39.0 feet.
