* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE…Ohio River at Markland Dam.
* WHEN…Until late Friday evening.
* IMPACTS…At 57 feet, lowland and backwater flooding results in
dozens of road closures near the Ohio, Kentucky River and creeks
and streams emptying into the Ohio River experiencing backwater
flooding. Counties affected include Gallatin and Carroll Counties
in Kentucky and Switzerland County Indiana. Several roads along
the river become flooded in areas. If the Kentucky River is also
above the 32 foot flood stage at Lockport, backwater flooding
closes dozens of roads in Carroll County alone.

– At 11:00 AM EDT Monday the stage was 56.5 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 57.7
feet early Tuesday afternoon. It will then fall below flood
stage Friday afternoon.
