Skillet Fork River at Wayne City affecting Wayne and White
Counties.

…The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois…

Little Wabash River at Carmi affecting Wayne, Gallatin and White
Counties.

.Multiple days of heavy rain last week caused rivers in southern
Illinois to flood. The Skillet Fork River has crested and will
continue to fall. The Little Wabash continues to rise and will crest
Saturday.

* WHAT…Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE…Skillet Fork River at Wayne City.

* WHEN…Until late tonight.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 10:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 18.0 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to fall below flood stage
late this evening and continue falling to 7.1 feet Sunday
morning.
– Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of
18.0 feet on 02/23/1971.
