Mississippi River at Caruthersville
For the Lower Mississippi River…including Caruthersville…Minor
flooding is forecast.
* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring.
* WHERE…Mississippi River at Caruthersville.
* WHEN…Until Thursday, April 24.
* IMPACTS…At 39.0 feet, Floodwater has reached the foot of the
floodwall protecting Caruthersville, Missouri. In Tennessee, the
grain terminal south of the Interstate 155 bridge is flooding.
Highway 88 is flooded at places in the north bottom of Lauderdale
County. Roads to and from Chisholm Lake are flooding.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 11:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 35.6 feet.
– Forecast…The river will rise to 39.0 feet early Saturday
afternoon and will then remain fairly steady for at least the
next week. It is expected to begin to slowly fall towards the
last week of April.
– Flood stage is 32.0 feet.
