…The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Missouri…Illinois…Kentucky…

Mississippi River at Thebes affecting Alexander and Scott
Counties.

Mississippi River at Cape Girardeau affecting Jackson, Cape
Girardeau, Scott, Alexander, Union and Perry Counties.

Mississippi River at New Madrid affecting New Madrid, Fulton and
Mississippi Counties.

Mississippi River near Hickman affecting Fulton County.

.Heavy rain last week and over the weekend has caused the
Mississippi River to rise. Most locations will crest over the next
couple of days.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE…Mississippi River at New Madrid.

* WHEN…Until further notice.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 12:00 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 37.4 feet.
– Forecast…The river will rise to 40.0 feet Thursday evening.
It will then fall Saturday evening. It will rise to 39.3 feet
Sunday morning. It will then fall again but remain above
flood stage.
– Flood stage is 34.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of
39.9 feet on 03/29/1955.
