Flood Warning issued April 8 at 12:23PM EDT until April 14 at 5:00PM EDT by NWS Indianapolis IN

…The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Indiana…

White River from Nora through Hazleton.

.Major flooding continues on the White River from Elliston
downstream. The crest of the White was at Elliston Tuesday afternoon
and is forecast to reach Hazleton Saturday. Indianapolis area gages
are expected to fall below flood stage tonight and Wednesday
morning. Spencer should fall below flood by Friday morning. Flooding
at Petersburg and Hazleton is expected to continue throughout next
week.

* WHAT…Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…White River at Newberry.

* WHEN…Until Monday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…At 24.0 feet, Inside flooding of some residences begin.
Some people are forced to leave because of flood waters.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 11:30 AM EDT Tuesday the stage was 24.1 feet.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 11:30 AM EDT Tuesday was 24.1 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 24.3
feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
flood stage early Monday morning.
– Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
