…The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Indiana…
White River from Nora through Hazleton.
.Major flooding continues on the White River from Elliston
downstream. The crest of the White was at Elliston Tuesday afternoon
and is forecast to reach Hazleton Saturday. Indianapolis area gages
are expected to fall below flood stage tonight and Wednesday
morning. Spencer should fall below flood by Friday morning. Flooding
at Petersburg and Hazleton is expected to continue throughout next
week.
* WHAT…Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* WHERE…White River at Edwardsport.
* WHEN…Until Wednesday, April 16.
* IMPACTS…At 26.0 feet, Many agricultural levees overflow.
Evacuations are necessary in northeast Edwardsport. Officials
closely monitor Levee Unit #8. Many local roads are impassable.
Rail traffic halts at Elnora. White River is over two miles wide
at U.S. Highway 50.

26.2 feet.

– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 26.5
feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
flood stage Tuesday, April 15.
