Flood Warning issued April 8 at 12:31PM EDT until April 11 at 2:00AM EDT by NWS Indianapolis IN

…The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Illinois…Indiana…

Wabash River.

Wildcat Creek near Lafayette.

.Extensive lowland flooding continues along the length of the Wabash
River, with significant flooding on the lower Wabash at Mount
Carmel. The crest on the Wabash was near Terre Haute Tuesday
afternoon and is expected to reach Riverton Thursday evening and
Mount Carmel on Sunday.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Wabash River at Lafayette.

* WHEN…Until early Friday morning.

* IMPACTS…At 14.9 feet, Lowland flooding develops. High water
approaches river cabins near Davis Prairie Road. Water covers
some spots on low county roads. The lower end of Tapawingo Park in
West Lafayette begins to flood, along with the Heritage Trail.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 11:30 AM EDT Tuesday the stage was 14.6 feet.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 11:30 AM EDT Tuesday was 15.9 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to fall below flood stage
early Thursday afternoon and continue falling and remain
below flood stage.
– Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
