Flood Warning issued April 8 at 2:11AM CDT by NWS Little Rock AR

…The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Arkansas…

Ouachita River At Camden affecting Ouachita and Calhoun Counties.

For the Ouachita River…including Jones Mill Dcp, Arkadelphia,
Camden, Thatcher L&D…Major flooding is forecast.

* WHAT…Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Ouachita River at Camden.

* WHEN…Until further notice.

* IMPACTS…At 40.0 feet, Major flooding begins at this level.
Widespread residential flooding is possible in the Camden vicinity
and downstream. Much of the low lying areas along the river in
Ouachita and Calhoun counties will be flooded. Access to many
homes will be by boat.
At 42.5 feet, Residential flooding is occurring in portions of
Ouachita and Calhoun counties, with numerous road closures. This
stage occurred in December 1987, the highest stage since
completion of the flood control reservoirs.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 1:30 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 40.1 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 40.5
feet Tuesday morning.
– Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
