…The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois…

Little Wabash River at Carmi

.Major, near record, continues along the Little Wabash River at
Carmi. The river is approaching its forecast crest of 36.8 feet,
which will be reached Thursday morning, followed by a hold near this
level through this weekend before a very slow fall in water levels
begins.

For the Little Wabash River…including Carmi…Major flooding is
forecast.

* WHAT…Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
This approaches the flood of record.

* WHERE…Little Wabash River at Carmi.

* WHEN…Until further notice.

* IMPACTS…At 35.5 feet, Businesses just downstream of IL Route 14
and Route 1 in Carmi flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 9:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 36.3 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 36.8
feet tomorrow morning.
– Flood stage is 27.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of
36.2 feet on 01/01/1937.
