Wabash River at New Harmony

.Moderate flooding continues along the Wabash River at New Harmony.
Water levels continue to rise, and the river is forecast to crest
near 21.8 feet Tuesday afternoon.

For the Wabash River…including New Harmony…Moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE…Wabash River at New Harmony.

* WHEN…Until further notice.

* IMPACTS…At 21.0 feet, The river is 3 miles wide at I-64.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 10:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 19.4 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 21.8
feet early Tuesday morning.
– Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of
21.8 feet on 05/18/2002.
