.Extensive lowland flooding continues along the length of the Wabash
River, with significant flooding on the lower Wabash at Mount
Carmel. The crest on the Wabash was between Terre Haute and
Hutsonville late Wednesday morning and is expected to reach
Vincennes and Riverton Thursday evening and Mount Carmel Sunday
evening into Monday morning. Forecast rainfall today through
Thursday night of a tenth of an inch to half an inch should not
raise crests but may slow the fall.

* WHERE…Wabash River at Vincennes.
* WHEN…Until Thursday, April 17.
* IMPACTS…At 22.0 feet, Almost all unprotected areas flood. River
cabins are surrounded by high water. Oil fields in lowland areas
are inaccessible by land vehicles. Most local river roads flood.
