A strong shortwave will move north over the Alaska Range this
evening through Wednesday bringing locally heavy snow showers and
gusty southerly winds. Areas along the Richardson Highway south
of Delta Junction can expect wind gusts up to 50 mph during the
day on Wednesday, and areas south of Healy along the Parks Highway
may reach 40 mph. Snow showers combined with gusty winds may
result in rapid changes in visibility and driving conditions.
Another round of gusty southerly winds are expected April 12th
through April 14th.
