…The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana…
White River from Spencer to Hazleton.
.Major flooding continues on the White River. The crest on the White
Thursday afternoon was just past Edwardsport and forecast to reach
Petersburg Saturday morning and Hazleton early Sunday morning.
Spencer is expected to fall below flood stage overnight, but
Petersburg and Hazleton will remain above flood stage through next
week and well into the week of April 20.
* WHAT…Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE…White River at Elliston.
* WHEN…Until late Sunday evening.
* IMPACTS…At 28.0 feet, Evacuations may be necessary from river
cabins. There is concern about downstream levees. Train traffic
halts at Elnora across White River. Backwater floods curve on
south end of track.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…

– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:00 AM EDT Thursday was 27.0 feet.
