Flood Warning issued April 10 at 12:21PM EDT until April 14 at 5:30PM EDT by NWS Indianapolis IN

…The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana…

White River from Spencer to Hazleton.

.Major flooding continues on the White River. The crest on the White
Thursday afternoon was just past Edwardsport and forecast to reach
Petersburg Saturday morning and Hazleton early Sunday morning.
Spencer is expected to fall below flood stage overnight, but
Petersburg and Hazleton will remain above flood stage through next
week and well into the week of April 20.

* WHAT…Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE…White River at Newberry.

* WHEN…Until Monday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…At 23.0 feet, Water levels approach major flood. Homes
begin to flood in Daviess and Knox counties. Sandbagging of levee
protecting Elnora is necessary. Railroad tracks near Elnora
flood. A few houses in Newberry flood. High water affects homes
in Daviess and Knox counties. Water is at the top of levee at
Elnora and threatens about ten homes behind the levee.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 11:30 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 22.5 feet.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 11:30 AM EDT Thursday was 23.7 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to fall below flood stage
early Monday morning and continue falling and remain below
flood stage.
– Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
