Flood Warning issued April 10 at 12:21PM EDT until April 16 at 4:15PM EDT by NWS Indianapolis IN

…The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana…

White River from Spencer to Hazleton.

.Major flooding continues on the White River. The crest on the White
Thursday afternoon was just past Edwardsport and forecast to reach
Petersburg Saturday morning and Hazleton early Sunday morning.
Spencer is expected to fall below flood stage overnight, but
Petersburg and Hazleton will remain above flood stage through next
week and well into the week of April 20.

* WHAT…Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…White River at Edwardsport.

* WHEN…Until Wednesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…At 27.0 feet, Some evacuations are necessary in low
areas of Edwardsport and Elnora. Water is at the top of levee
protecting low areas of Elnora.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 7:00 AM EDT Thursday /6:00 AM CDT Thursday/ the stage was
26.6 feet.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 7:00 AM EDT Thursday /6:00 AM CDT Thursday/ was
26.9 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to fall below flood stage
early Wednesday morning and continue falling and remain below
flood stage.
– Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
