Flood Warning issued April 10 at 12:30PM EDT until April 15 at 2:00AM EDT by NWS Indianapolis IN

…The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Illinois…Indiana…

Wabash River.

.Extensive lowland flooding continues along the length of the Wabash
River, with significant flooding on the lower Wabash at Mount
Carmel. The crest on the Wabash Thursday afternoon was approaching
Riverton and Vincennes, and is forecast to reach Mount Carmel Sunday
evening. Flooding on the middle Wabash should end by early next
week, but the lower Wabash could remain above flood stage through
next week and into the week of April 20.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Wabash River at Terre Haute.

* WHEN…Until early Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS…At 21.5 feet, All of the area on the west side of the
Wabash River is flooded from Sugar Creek to U.S. 40 and I-70.
South Lake becomes part of the wetland project.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 11:30 AM EDT Thursday /10:30 AM CDT Thursday/ the stage
was 21.5 feet.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 11:30 AM EDT Thursday /10:30 AM CDT Thursday/ was
22.1 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to fall below flood stage
early Monday afternoon and continue falling and remain below
flood stage.
– Flood stage is 16.5 feet.
