Ouachita River At Felsenthal Lock and Dam affecting Union and
Ashley Counties.

For the Ouachita River…including Felsenthal Lock and Dam, Monroe,
Columbia…Major flooding is forecast.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Ouachita River at Felsenthal Lock and Dam.

* WHEN…Until further notice.

* IMPACTS…At 83.0 feet, Expect long term flooding for several
weeks in the Felsenthal National Wildlife Refuge. Travel becomes
difficult as all access roadways flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 8:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 70.4 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 65.0 feet.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:30 PM CDT Wednesday was 70.4 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to 84.0 feet

– Flood stage is 70.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of
84.2 feet on 01/06/1983.
