At 330 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Chesapeake, or 9 miles southwest of Great Bridge, moving northeast at
30 mph.

HAZARD…Pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.

Chesapeake around 335 PM EDT.
Great Bridge around 340 PM EDT.
Fentress around 345 PM EDT.
Virginia Beach around 350 PM EDT.
Regent University and Kempsville around 355 PM EDT.
Norfolk around 400 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by this storm include Greenbrier, Bayside,
Oceana, Rudee Heights, Mount Pleasant, Princess Anne Plaza, North
Virginia Beach, Oceana NAS, Gallups Corner, and Macons Corner.

AQAPSR The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) has extended an Ozone High Pollution Advisory for the Phoenix Metro Area through Saturday. This means that forecast weather conditions combined with existing ozone levels are expected to result in local maximum 8-hour ozone concentrations that pose a health risk. Adverse health effects increase as air quality deteriorates. Ozone is an air contaminant which can cause breathing difficulties for children, older adults, as well as persons with respiratory problems. A decrease in physical activity is recommended.
