…The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Louisiana…

Ouachita River At Monroe affecting Union, Ouachita and Caldwell
Parishes.

For the Ouachita River…including Felsenthal Lock and Dam, Monroe,
Columbia…Major flooding is forecast.

* WHAT…Major flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Ouachita River at Monroe.

* WHEN…From Friday afternoon until further notice.

* IMPACTS…At 45.0 feet, The Prairon Bayou recreational area floods
and closes. Lowland flooding becomes extensive at this stage
between levees.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 11:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 31.4 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 40.0 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage
early Friday afternoon and continue rising to 45.0 feet
Tuesday, April 22. Additional rises are possible thereafter.
– Flood stage is 40.0 feet.
