The National Weather Service in Hastings has issued a Red Flag
Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect
from 1 PM to 9 PM CDT Monday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer
in effect.
* WINDS…From the north-northwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts as high
as 35 to 45 MPH. However, winds this evening will diminish
somewhat prior to the expiration of today’s Red Flag Warning.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY…As low as 20 to 25 percent this afternoon
and early evening, and as low as 15 to 20 percent on Monday.
* IMPACTS…Any fire that develops will spread quickly. Outdoor
burning is not recommended.
