.Behind a strong cold front early this morning, strong
northwesterly winds and dry air will push into the area.
Northwest winds will increase to 30-40 mph with gusts around
60 mph this afternoon as minimum relative humidities drop to 15-
20 percent. The result will be critical fire weather conditions
this afternoon and early evening.
* AFFECTED AREA…Fire Weather Zones 322 Fall River County Area,
326 Pine Ridge Area, 331 Haakon County Area, 332 Badlands
Area, 333 Bennett County Area, 334 Mellette and Todd Counties
and 335 Tripp County.
* WINDS…Northwest 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY…15 to 20 percent.
* IMPACTS…The combination of gusty winds and low relative
humidity would produce critical fire weather conditions.
