Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Big Muddy River near Plumfield.

* WHEN…Until Monday, April 21.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 11:00 AM CDT Monday the stage was 25.9 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to fall below flood stage
late Sunday evening and continue falling to 19.6 feet Monday,
April 21.
– Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

* WHAT....The warm air temperatures in the 70s may cause people to underestimate the dangers of the very cold water temperatures which are currently only in the upper 40s to around 50 degrees. * WHERE...Coastal Hancock and Coastal Washington Counties. * WHEN...From 8 AM EDT Sunday through Sunday evening. * IMPACTS...The cold water temperatures can quickly cause hypothermia to anyone in the water. The Maine Department of Environmental Protection's Bureau of Air Quality has issued an Air Quality Alert for particle pollution until 11 PM EDT Sunday. Particle pollution levels are expected to rise into the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups range on Sunday, June 8th. The Maine Department of Environmental Protection recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects.
