Special Weather Statement issued April 14 at 5:25PM EDT by NWS Wilmington OH

At 525 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Elsmere, moving
east at 60 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Hail may cause minor damage to
vegetation.

Locations impacted include…
Taylor Mill, New Richmond, Visalia, Florence, New Palestine,
Covington, Melbourne, Nicholsville, Highland Heights, Fairview, Villa
Hills, Crescent Park, Riverbend And Coney Island, Ricedale, Lunken
Airport, Crestview Hills, Turpin Hills, Fort Thomas, Cold Spring, and
Owensville.

This includes I-75 in Kentucky between mile markers 175 and 191.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a sturdy building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for
northern Kentucky…and southwestern Ohio.
