* WHAT…Dangerous rip currents and strong longshore currents in
the surf zone.

* WHERE…The beaches from Cape Hatteras to Cape Lookout.

* WHEN…Through this evening.

* IMPACTS…Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away
from shore into deeper water. Strong longshore currents will
create dangerous swimming conditions.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…The most likely time for strong rip
currents to occur is a couple hours either side of low tide,
which will occur around 3:30 PM.

* WHAT...Northwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected. * WHERE...Esmeralda and Central Nye County. * WHEN...From 11 AM Thursday to 11 PM PDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There will be a lull in winds for a few hours Thursday night before the strongest winds return Friday morning.
