An increase in cloud cover can be expected across the Panhandle today in comparison to yesterday as a weak cold front approaches the Panhandle from the north.
This cold front will remain dry, but a few light sprinkles or brief showers cannot be ruled out later in the day along the Big Bend and Northeast Florida (15-20% chance of rain).
Ahead of and along the front breezy wind gusts near 15-20 mph will develop into the afternoon, with locally stronger gusts upwards of 25 mph possible.
Mostly dry and sunny conditions can be expected to persist across Central and South Florida throughout the daytime hours.
Dry air throughout the interior Peninsula will allow for relative humidity values to fall near and below critical thresholds this afternoon (30-40%).
With elevated winds and near critical relative humidity values, sensitive to elevated wildfire conditions can be anticipated to develop this afternoon and evening throughout the Peninsula.
High temperatures will steadily climb into the upper 70s to middle 80s throughout the state, with interior portions of the Peninsula reaching the upper 80s.
A few isolated brief showers may be possible overnight across Northeast Florida and towards the I-4 corridor as the cold front pushes through (10-20% chance of rain).
Low temperatures will fall into the upper 40s to middle 50s across North Florida and upper 50s to middle 60s across Central and South Florida overnight.
A moderate risk for rip currents will continue for Panhandle and East Coast beaches, with a high risk along the eastern Panhandle.
