High Wind Warning issued April 15 at 1:46PM AKDT until April 17 at 1:00AM AKDT by NWS Anchorage AK

* WHAT…Southeast winds 40 to 60 mph with gusts up to 85 mph
expected.

* WHERE…Anchorage Hillside / Upper Eagle River.

* WHEN…From 4 AM Wednesday to 1 AM AKDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS…High winds could move loose debris, damage property, and
cause power outages. Travel could be difficult.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Although there is still uncertainty with
timing, peak winds will likely occur between about 9 AM and 6 PM,
which may affect the morning and evening commutes. While forecast
wind gusts will likely range from 75 to 85 mph, isolated wind
gusts to 90 mph are possible. The highest winds will be confined
to the Hillside and upper elevations, though gusts up to 40-55 mph
are likely at lower elevations near terrain gaps, such as the S
curves on the Glenn Highway.
