High Wind Watch issued April 16 at 1:09PM MDT until April 19 at 12:00AM MDT by NWS Midland/Odessa TX

* WHAT…For the High Wind Warning, southwest winds 35 to 45 mph
with gusts up to 65 mph expected. For the High Wind Watch,
southwest winds 40 to 55 mph with gusts up to 75 mph possible.

* WHERE…Guadalupe Mountains of west Texas and Southeast New Mexico.

* WHEN…For the High Wind Warning, from 9 AM MDT /10 AM CDT/
Thursday to midnight MDT /1 AM CDT/ Thursday Night. For the High
Wind Watch, from Friday morning through Friday evening.

* IMPACTS…Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile
vehicles like campers, vans, and tractor trailers. Aviation
interests may experience localized but extreme turbulence, or
strong downward airflows if flying in the near the Guadalupe
Mountains.
