Mississippi River Above Tiptonville

For the Lower Mississippi River…including Tiptonville,
Caruthersville, Memphis, Helena…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Mississippi River above Tiptonville.

* WHEN…Until Wednesday, April 23.

* IMPACTS…At 43.0 feet, In Tennessee, Cates Landing-New Markham
Road is flooded just east of Pea Ridge Road, making evacuation
difficult.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 11:00 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 42.1 feet.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 11:00 AM CDT Wednesday was 42.2 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 42.1
feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage
Wednesday, April 23.
– Flood stage is 37.0 feet.
