Mississippi River at at Hickman and New Madrid.

.The Mississippi River at Hickman is cresting and will begin to fall
tonight. At New Madrid the river is falling and will fall below
flood stage next Wednesday.

* WHAT…Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Mississippi River near Hickman.

* WHEN…Until Thursday, April 24.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 10:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 45.1 feet.
– Forecast…The river is cresting near 45.1 feet and will
begin a slow fall tonight. It will then fall below flood
stage Thursday, April 24.
– Flood stage is 34.0 feet.
