High Wind Warning issued April 17 at 3:11PM MDT until April 17 at 9:00PM MDT by NWS Albuquerque NM

* WHAT…For the High Wind Warning, southwest winds 30 to 40 mph
with gusts up to 60 mph. For the Wind Advisory, southwest winds 25
to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected.

* WHERE…Eastern Lincoln County, Upper Tularosa Valley, and
Southwest Chaves County.

* WHEN…For the High Wind Warning, until 9 PM MDT this evening. For
the Wind Advisory, from 10 AM to 7 PM MDT Friday.

* IMPACTS…Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult,
especially for high profile vehicles. Gusty winds will blow around
unsecured objects. Tree limbs may be blown down. Expect strong
crosswinds on area roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Blowing dust may limit visibility below 3
miles at times.
