Special Weather Statement issued April 16 at 6:27PM MDT by NWS Salt Lake City UT

At 626 PM MDT, doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm near
Loa, or 29 miles northwest of Capitol Reef National Park, moving
northeast at 55 mph. Mesonet observations indicate gusts in excess
of 40 mph in Loa.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE…Doppler radar.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include…
Fremont Junction, Lyman, Fish Lake, Fremont, Koosharem, Loa, and
Bicknell.

This includes the following highways…
Interstate 70 between mile markers 78 and 97.
Utah Route 10 between mile markers 0 and 6.
Utah Route 24 between mile markers 32 and 60.
