Mississippi River At Natchez affecting Adams, Concordia and
Wilkinson Counties.
Mississippi River Near Greenville affecting Washington, East
Carroll, Chicot and Issaquena Counties.
Mississippi River Near Arkansas City affecting Bolivar, Chicot,
Washington and Desha Counties.
* WHAT…Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE…Mississippi River near Greenville.
* WHEN…Until Friday, May 02.
* IMPACTS…At 55.0 feet, Practically all areas between levees are
flooded. Approximately 50 buildings have water inside them. Water
enters Farmers Grain terminal building north of the Greenville
bridge. Electric power is turned off to north and south Lake
Ferguson Road and Hillman-Logan Road.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 11:00 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 52.9 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 53.5
feet early Tuesday morning. It will then fall below flood
stage Friday, May 02.
– Flood stage is 48.0 feet.
