Meteorological Summary:
- Another day of mostly dry conditions and mostly clear skies for the Sunshine State today under high pressure (near 0-10% chance of rain).
- High temperatures in the 80s to low 90s this afternoon; Locally cooler conditions in the upper 70s to low 80s are likely along portions of the East Coast and coastal Florida Panhandle and Keys.
- Easterly to southeasterly winds will reach near 10-15 mph today with gusts near 15-25 mph.
- Sensitive to elevated wildfire conditions will persist across much of the state this afternoon and evening; Red Flag Warnings may be issued as conditions warrant.
- The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) is outlooking an Elevated Risk (level 1 of 3) for Fire Weather along portions of the Peninsula; increased winds and low relative humidity values over areas with dry fuels will promote increased fire weather concerns.
- A high risk for rip currents along the Southeast Coast; moderate risk along the rest of the East Coast and numerous Florida Panhandle beaches.
- Low temperatures in the upper 50s to middle 60s across North Florida, 60s across Central and Southwest Florida, and upper 60s to middle 70s across Southeast Florida and the Keys.
- Areas of patchy to dense fog possible overnight into Saturday morning.
