Flood Warning issued April 20 at 12:10PM CDT until May 2 at 8:00PM CDT by NWS Jackson MS

…The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Louisiana…Mississippi…Arkansas…

Mississippi River At Vicksburg affecting Warren, Madison,
Claiborne, Jefferson and Tensas Counties.

Mississippi River At Natchez affecting Concordia, Adams and
Wilkinson Counties.

Mississippi River Near Greenville affecting Washington, Chicot,
East Carroll and Issaquena Counties.

Mississippi River Near Arkansas City affecting Desha, Bolivar,
Chicot and Washington Counties.

* WHAT…Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE…Mississippi River near Greenville.

* WHEN…Until Friday, May 02.

* IMPACTS…At 55.0 feet, Practically all areas between levees are
flooded. Approximately 50 buildings have water inside them. Water
enters Farmers Grain terminal building north of the Greenville
bridge. Electric power is turned off to north and south Lake
Ferguson Road and Hillman-Logan Road.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 11:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 53.2 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 54.0
feet early Saturday morning. It will then fall below flood
stage Friday, May 02.
– Flood stage is 48.0 feet.
