Flood Warning issued April 20 at 5:18AM AST until April 20 at 8:00AM AST by NWS San Juan PR

* WHAT…Flooding caused by flood waters from Rio Grande de Manati.

* WHERE…Manati.

* WHEN…Until 800 AM AST.

* IMPACTS…Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads
remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to
excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are
inundated with water and may not be passable. Expect many areas of
slow moving or standing water. It will take several hours for all
the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems
in urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 518 AM AST, emergency management continue reporting
flooding in the warned area due to flood waters from Rio
Grande de Manati. Flooding is ongoing, maintain road closures
along PR-2. USGS river sensors indicate Rio Grande de Manati
is currently at minor flood stage, around 19.3m.
– Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inch are possible
upstream, causing additional rises along Rio Grande de
Manati.
