Fire Weather Watch issued April 20 at 1:11PM MDT until April 21 at 7:00PM MDT by NWS Albuquerque NM

…FIRE WEATHER WATCH MONDAY FROM 1 TO 7 PM FOR THE NORTHEAST
PLAINS DUE TO STRONG WINDS, LOW HUMIDITY AND HIGH FIRE DANGER…

.Southwest surface winds will gust to around 40 mph across the
northeast plains of New Mexico for Monday afternoon in response
to a surface trough developing to the lee of the Sangre de Cristo
Mountains. Humidities will also drop below 15 percent as high
temperatures climb 5-10 degrees above 30-year averages. Harding
and Union Counties received little or no precipitation from the
storm system that crossed Saturday and Saturday night, and thus
fuels remain abnormally dry in this region. Elevated to critical
fire weather conditions can be expected for a period of three to
five hours.

* AREA AND TIMING…Northeast Plains (Zone 104) Friday from 1 to
7 PM MDT.

* 20 FOOT WINDS…Southwest 15 to 30 mph with gusts around 40 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY…12 to 15 percent.

* IMPACTS…Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
