The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for…
North Central Jefferson Parish in southeastern Louisiana…
West Central Orleans Parish in southeastern Louisiana…

* Until 730 PM CDT.

* At 422 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD…Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE…Radar.

IMPACT…Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include…
New Orleans, Metairie, Avondale, Marrero, Harvey, Jefferson,
Harahan, Westwego, Bridge City, Elmwood, River Ridge, Waggaman and
Lakefront Airport.

This includes the following Interstates…
Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 226 and 235…and
near mile marker 238.
Interstate 610 between mile markers 1 and 4.
