…FLOOD WATCH FOR KAUAI AND NIIHAU…

* WHAT…Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE…Niihau and Kauai.

* WHEN…From noon HST today through Wednesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…Flood prone roads and other low lying areas may be
closed due to elevated runoff and overflowing streams. Urban areas
may receive more significant flooding and property damage due to
rapid runoff.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– The potential for heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms
will increase around Kauai as a low pressure system
approaches, and stalls just west of the state. Moist
southerly flow will bring an increase of showers across the
county with the heaviest showers expected Tuesday afternoon
through Wednesday morning.
