Special Weather Statement issued April 22 at 4:09AM CDT by NWS Des Moines IA

At 408 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking the leading edge of strong
thunderstorms 5 miles southwest of Reinbeck, or 6 miles southeast of
Grundy Center, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and up to penny size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Steamboat Rock, Raymond, Morrison, Tf Clark State Park, Dunkerton,
Wellsburg, Waterloo, Union, George Wyth State Park, Crossroads Mall,
Conrad, Evansdale, Lincoln, Eldora, Holland, Dike, Beaman, Cedar
Falls, Pine Lake State Park, and Traer.

This includes Interstate 380 between mile markers 56 and 73.
