Special Weather Statement issued April 23 at 5:39PM CDT by NWS Memphis TN

At 539 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms 8 miles southwest of Burgess, or 9 miles east of
Batesville, moving northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD…Winds in excess of 30 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Springdale, Teckville, Burgess, Shuford, Taylor, College Hill
Station, College Hill, Hayes Crossing, Holly Springs National Forest,
Oxford, John W Kyle State Park, Eureka Springs, Yocona, Abbeville,
Batesville, and Water Valley.
