Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued April 23 at 8:40PM EDT until April 23 at 9:00PM EDT by NWS Columbia SC

At 840 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles north of
Newberry County Airport, or 9 miles northwest of Newberry, moving
north at 10 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
trees and powerlines.

This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of north
central Newberry County.

This includes Interstate 26 between mile markers 64 and 67.
